Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

On Thursday, December 26, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang Insun will preside over the eighth meeting of the taskforce established to provide one-stop diplomatic support to Korean companies with their bids to promote exports and win orders.

The taskforce was launched in December 2022 to step up diplomatic support for Korean companies’ efforts to promote exports and win orders mainly in areas such as corporate support and the defense industry, construction and plants, and energy and resources.

At its upcoming meeting, the taskforce, together with officials from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and other related organizations, will review the outcome of diplomatic activities carried out by overseas diplomatic missions in 2024 to help Korean companies and will discuss ways to work together in support of nuclear power plant exports, among others.
